A new
mobile-only sign-in
option has been added to the Eduspot app, which means parents can now access Eduspot using just their mobile number, removing the need to provide both a mobile number and an email address.NB:
On their first sign in, a one time code is sent by SMS to verify their number. Once verified, they can create a password to use for future sign ins. What’s New?
- The mobile number field also supports international numbers and suggests a country calling code based on the parent’s location, which can be changed before continuing.
- Existing parents who use both an email address and mobile number can continue to sign in as they do today.
- Additional protections have also been introduced for one time codes used across SMS, email and password recovery.

Key Benefit(s)
- Improved access: Mobile-only login reduces access friction by allowing parents to use just their mobile number, even if they don’t have an email address or their email details are incorrect.
- Reduced sign in friction: Fewer details are required for parents to get started.
- Support for more parents: International mobile numbers and selectable country calling codes make mobile sign in more accessible.
- Strengthened account protection: Limits on verification code attempts, resends and expiry help protect the sign in and account recovery experience.
