System Upgrades
S
School Admin
I would like to see the following upgrades made to school money.
We are currently experiencing difficulties with children who are being held back in the year groups. The system doesn't accommodate for the children who are entitled to Universal free school meals if their actual years groups are different from the class they are actually being taught in. i.e. a year 3 child being taught in year 2 is entitled to universal free school meals. Please could you add an optional tick box just like you have for FSM or dietary information. This information has to be accurate on our MIS system for census purposes and the funding that is received to many schools so unsure why your unable to make sure your system reports correctly as well.
Also, which is a big concern. Separated parents who both have their own separate logins can freely spend each others credit on their child's account, this is a serious problem and I feel that this needs addressing

HI School Admin,
Thank you for sharing your feedback in such detail. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain the challenges you’re facing, it helps us understand the real-world impact and prioritise improvements that matter most to schools.
We recognise the two key concerns you’ve raised:
- Accurate handling of Universal Free School Meals for pupils taught outside their chronological year group.
- Credit sharing between separated parents with separate logins, which you’ve rightly flagged as a serious issue.
Your feedback will be reviewed as part of our product development process. We aim to ensure any changes address the underlying challenges effectively and support schools in a secure and practical way.
Thank you again for helping us improve SchoolMoney, your feedback is invaluable in shaping solutions that meet real needs.
