Wisepay does not pick up mobile phone number correct on checkout

With the new layout on the checkout the mobile phone has to be entered each time as it is not picking up the phone numbers from data correctly.
If you have a number say 07123456789
It will see it as an invalid number because of being 004407123456789, the coding really needs to strip out irrelevant items but still correctly transfer it.
